Ribs

Method

Preparation of Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the baby back ribs under cold water and pat them dry. Rub the ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Cover them tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.

  2. 4

    Thicken the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Slowly add this to the sauce while stirring. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Remove from heat.

Final Assembly

  1. 5

    Glaze and Garnish

Once the ribs are cooked and tender, remove them from the oven. Brush the Mongolian BBQ sauce generously over the ribs. Optionally, you can broil them for an additional 5 minutes for a caramelized finish. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top before serving.
