Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Garlic Fried Rice

1

Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

2

Add Rice

Add cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir to combine with garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

3

Finish the Rice

Cook the rice for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking the Shrimp

4

Prepare Shrimp

In a bowl, toss the black tiger shrimp with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

5

Sear the Shrimp

In a large skillet or teppanyaki grill, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through.

6

Make Sweet Soy Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter and soy sauce. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is combined. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.

Serving

7

Plate the Dish

Serve the garlic fried rice on a plate and top with the teppanyaki seared shrimp. Drizzle with additional sweet soy butter sauce if desired. Garnish with chopped green onions.
