Method

Cooking Oatmeal

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oats

In a medium-sized pot, bring water to a boil. Add the steel cut oats and salt, reduce the heat to low, and let simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are tender and have absorbed most of the water.

  2. 2

    Check Consistency

If the oatmeal is too thick, you can add a bit more water and stir until you reach your desired consistency.

Serving

  1. 3

    Add Toppings

Once the oatmeal is cooked, remove it from heat. Serve it in bowls and top with fresh berries, sliced banana, and a sprinkle of brown sugar to taste.

  2. 4

    Enjoy

Mix the toppings into the oatmeal and enjoy your nutritious breakfast!
