Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Roast Tomatoes

For the roasted tomatoes, slice them in half, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Roast at 250°F (120°C) for 24 hours until they are concentrated and sweet.

  2. 2

    Pickle Onions

To prepare pickled onions, slice red onions thinly and soak them in a mixture of vinegar, water, sugar, and salt for at least 1 hour.

Assembling Tartine

  1. 3

    Prepare Avocado

Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.

  2. 4

    Toast Bread

Lightly toast the sourdough bread slices until golden brown.

  3. 5

    Spread Cream Cheese

Spread a generous layer of cream cheese over each slice of toasted sourdough.

  4. 6

    Layer Ingredients

Top the cream cheese with smoked salmon, followed by a layer of mashed avocado, roasted tomatoes, and pickled onions.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with fresh dill, additional salt, and pepper if desired. Serve immediately.
