Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Pat the Ahi tuna steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub the blackening spice evenly over both sides of the steaks.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, and melted butter until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sear the Ahi Tuna

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the blackened Ahi tuna steaks and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until nicely charred but still rare in the center. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the bok choy and Chinese peas. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until tender but still crisp.

  3. 5

    Plate the Dish

Place the sautéed vegetables on a plate, top with the blackened Ahi tuna, and drizzle the soy mustard butter sauce over the top.
