Dough

Soy Chili Vinaigrette

Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix ground pork, crab meat, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Combine well and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble the Pillows

Divide the rested dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle. Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat until all dough and filling are used.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Pillows

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil and cook the pillows for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Alternatively, steam the pillows for 10-12 minutes.

Soy Chili Vinaigrette

  1. 5

    Make the Vinaigrette

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, honey, and sesame oil. Set aside.

Crispy Garlic Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Crispy Garlic

In a small saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add thinly sliced garlic and fry until golden brown. Remove garlic and drain on paper towels.
