Method

Cheesecake Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the sugar and continue to beat until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.

  3. 3

    Combine and Bake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour.

  4. 4

    Chill

Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before removing it from the springform pan.

  5. 5

    Serve

Top the chilled cheesecake with chocolate sauce and whipped cream before serving.
