Method

Meatloaf Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Meatloaf

Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Cover with foil.

  3. 3

    Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour. Remove foil for the last 15 minutes to brown the top.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil Potatoes

In a large pot, boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Mash Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Wild Mushroom Gravy Preparation

  1. 6

    Sauté Mushrooms

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté until they are softened and browned.

  2. 7

    Make Gravy

Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir well, then gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and black pepper.

Local Vegetable Preparation

  1. 8

    Sauté Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add seasonal local vegetables and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
