Prepare Kalua Pork

Cook the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with Himalayan salt and liquid smoke. Place in a slow cooker. Add water, cover, and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender. Shred the pork with two forks.
Make Housemade Slaw

Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix shredded cabbage, grated carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Toss well and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare Pineapple Sweet & Sour

Mix Sauce
In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
Assemble Sandwich

Build the Sandwich
On each burger bun, layer shredded Kalua pork, a generous scoop of housemade slaw, and top with crispy onions. Drizzle with pineapple sweet & sour sauce before serving.
