Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Caramelize Onion

In the same skillet, add a little oil if needed and caramelize the sliced Maui onion over low heat until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger

Form the ground beef into a patty and season with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-fry the patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Melt Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on the patty and cover to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the brioche bun. On the bottom half, layer lettuce, the burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips for frying.

  2. 7

    Heat Oil

In a deep pot, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  4. 9

    Season Fries

Remove fries from oil, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt while still hot.
