Falafel Patties

Method

Prepare the Falafel Patties

  1. 1

    Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is coarsely ground.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour until fully incorporated. Shape the mixture into patties about 3 inches in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns if desired.

  2. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a falafel patty, then top with tomato slices, namasu, a sprinkle of furikake, ranch dressing, and spicy aioli.

  3. 6

    Finish the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.
