Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and cut the cauliflower into florets. Halve the brussel sprouts and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Gradually add water, mixing until a smooth batter forms.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Fry the Vegetables

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Dip the cauliflower florets and brussel sprouts in the batter, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Toppings

In a small pan, lightly toast the pine nuts until golden. In a bowl, combine the fried vegetables with toasted pine nuts, golden raisins, and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
