Method

Chocolate Ganache Cake

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Carefully stir in boiling water until smooth.

  5. 5

    Bake

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool.

Chocolate Crumble

  1. 6

    Prepare Crumble

In a bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  2. 7

    Bake Crumble

Spread the crumble mixture on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until crispy.

Raspberry Coulis

  1. 8

    Make Coulis

In a saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until raspberries break down, about 10 minutes. Strain to remove seeds if desired.

Whipped Cream

  1. 9

    Whip Cream

In a bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
