Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the Hawaiian fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a shallow heatproof dish.

  2. 2

    Make the Relish

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, sliced ginger, and red chili flakes. Pour this mixture over the fish fillets.

  3. 3

    Add Green Onions

Scatter the chopped green onions on top of the fish fillets.

  4. 4

    Steam the Fish

Fill a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place the dish with the fish into the steamer basket, cover, and steam for 10-12 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the fish from the steamer. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately with steamed rice or vegetables.
