Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fillings

Choose your preferred fillings and chop them into small pieces. If using meats like bacon or sausage, cook them in a skillet until browned and set aside.

  2. 2

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined. If opting for an egg white omelet, use egg whites only and season accordingly.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Omelet

Heat the butter or oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and let it cook for a few minutes without stirring, until the edges start to set.

  2. 4

    Add Fillings

Once the omelet is partially cooked, add your chosen fillings to one half of the omelet. Allow it to cook for another minute or two until the eggs are fully set.

  3. 5

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelet in half over the fillings and slide it onto a plate. Serve hot with your choice of hash browns or rice on the side.
