Method

Preparing the Garlic Butter

  1. 1

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a medium bowl, combine the unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, Madeira wine, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and well mixed.

Baking the Escargot

  1. 2

    Prepare the Escargot

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, place the escargot and generously spoon the garlic butter mixture over each piece. Ensure they are well coated.

  2. 3

    Bake

Bake the escargot in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the butter is bubbly and the escargot are heated through.

Preparing the Crostini

  1. 4

    Toast the Baguette

While the escargot is baking, brush the baguette slices with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Remove the escargot from the oven and serve hot with the toasted crostini on the side for dipping into the garlic butter.
