Bacon & Salmon Baked Pita Bread

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, sear the salmon fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and let cool slightly, then flake into pieces.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Pita Bread

Cut the pita bread in half to create pockets. Drizzle some olive oil inside each pocket. Fill each pocket with arugula, followed by pieces of crispy bacon and flaked salmon.

  3. 3

    Bake the Pita

Place the stuffed pita halves on a baking sheet and brush the tops with additional olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the pita is crispy and heated through.

  4. 4

    Finish and Serve

Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lime juice over each pita. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
