Pork Belly

Method

Pork Belly Preparation

  1. 1

    Braised Pork Belly

In a pot, combine pork belly, soy sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, brown sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours until tender. Remove from heat and let cool, then slice into bite-sized pieces.

Dumpling Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Dumplings

In a bowl, mix ground pork, chopped shrimp, minced garlic, minced ginger, and green onions until well combined. Place a small spoonful of the mixture onto each dumpling wrapper, wet the edges with water, fold and seal. Repeat until all filling is used.

  2. 3

    Cook the Dumplings

In a pot of boiling water, cook the dumplings in batches for about 5-7 minutes until they float. Remove and set aside.

Ramen Bowl Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare Ramen

Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Bowl

In a large bowl, layer cooked ramen noodles, won bok, bean sprouts, and dumplings. Top with braised pork belly, pickled ginger, and drizzle with sesame oil and chili oil to taste. Garnish with green onions.
