Broth and Toppings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broth

In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Broth Ingredients

Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and mirin. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Cook Pork Belly

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced pork belly until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook Dumplings and Noodles

In the same skillet, add shrimp dumplings and cook according to package instructions. In a separate pot, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, then drain.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Bowl

In serving bowls, place cooked ramen noodles, pour over the rich sesame broth, and top with crispy pork belly, shrimp dumplings, chopped green onions, and sliced nori. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
