Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Burger Patties

In a large bowl, combine the wild boar and Makaweli beef. Add salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well and form into 4 equal patties.

Bacon Jam Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook the Bacon Jam

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until soft. Chop the bacon and return it to the skillet. Stir in brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper. Cook until thickened, about 10 minutes.

Grilled Mushrooms Preparation

  1. 3

    Grill the Mushrooms

In a bowl, toss sliced mushrooms with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Grill over medium heat until tender and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes.

Chipotle Aioli Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Chipotle Aioli

In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, lemon juice, and minced garlic until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Burger Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns on the grill. Spread chipotle aioli on the bottom bun, layer with lettuce, tomato, burger patty, bacon jam, and grilled mushrooms. Top with the other half of the bun and serve.
