Blackened Island Ahi Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Pat the Ahi tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Tuna

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned Ahi tuna steaks and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

Make the Spicy Soy Mustard Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and lime juice. Whisk together until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Place the seared Ahi tuna on plates and drizzle the spicy soy mustard butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
