Prepare Espresso

Brew the Espresso
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso and set aside to cool.
Make the Filling

Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form.

Combine Ingredients
In another bowl, mix 16 oz of mascarpone cheese, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth.

Fold in Whipped Cream
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
Assemble the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer Ingredients
In a serving dish, lay half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone filling.
Chill and Serve

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with 2 tbsp of cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
