Method

Dough Preparation

1

Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

2

Make Dough

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

3

Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4

Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Filling Preparation

5

Mix Filling Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until combined.

Assembly and Cooking

6

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

7

Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

8

Cut and Fill

Cut the dough into squares or circles. Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each piece and fold to seal.

9

Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic. Brush this mixture over the top of each filled bonor.

10

Bake

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of each bonor. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

11

Garnish and Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
