Budino Preparation

Melt the Chocolate
In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and sea salt until well combined.

Cook the Mixture
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

Add Chocolate
Remove from heat and stir in the melted chocolate until fully incorporated. Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins.

Chill
Refrigerate the budinos for at least 4 hours, or until set.
Orange Caramel Sauce Preparation

Make Caramel
In a saucepan, add the granulated sugar and heat over medium heat until it melts and turns amber in color, around 8-10 minutes.

Add Orange Juice and Butter
Carefully add the fresh orange juice and butter to the caramel. Stir to combine until the mixture is smooth.

Finish the Caramel
Add the orange zest and sea salt, stirring well. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Garnish and Serve

Assemble the Dessert
Once the budinos are set, drizzle the orange caramel sauce over each budino.
