Method

Fries Preparation

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Fries

Place the cut fries in a large bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Drying the Fries

After soaking, drain the fries and lay them on a clean kitchen towel. Pat them dry thoroughly to remove moisture.

  4. 4

    Frying the Fries

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste.

Chili Garlic Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Mixing the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, red chili flakes, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Mix well to create a smooth sauce.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Topping the Fries

Place the fried fries on a serving plate. Drizzle the chili garlic sauce generously over the top.

  2. 7

    Garnishing

Sprinkle the sliced green onions over the fries and sauce for added flavor and color.
