Meatballs Preparation

Mix the Meatball Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Use your hands to mix until well combined.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

Prepare the Sauce
Add the crushed canned tomatoes, sugar, salt, black pepper, dried basil, and dried oregano to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Combine Meatballs with Sauce
Once the meatballs are cooked, carefully add them to the saucepan with the red sauce. Stir gently to coat the meatballs in the sauce.
