Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 8 ounces each. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in the skillet or on the grill until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf followed by a slice of tomato. Place the cooked patty on top of the tomato, then add a slice of cheddar cheese.

  3. 6

    Add Condiments

Top the cheese with your desired amount of ketchup and mustard.

  4. 7

    Finish It Off

Place the top half of the bun on the burger and serve with dill pickle spears on the side.
