Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mint

Rinse the fresh mint leaves under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities. Pat them dry with a clean towel.

  2. 2

    Juicing the Lemons

Cut the lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice until you have one cup of lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp if desired.

  3. 3

    Dissolving the Sugar

In a saucepan, combine one cup of water and one cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Mixing

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the cooled sugar syrup, one cup of lemon juice, and three cups of cold water. Stir well to mix.

  2. 5

    Add Mint

Add the prepared mint leaves to the pitcher and stir gently to release their flavor into the lemonade.

Serving

  1. 6

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the lemonade for at least one hour to chill. Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
