Brew 2 shots of espresso using your preferred method (espresso machine, stovetop, etc.). Set aside.

Brew the Espresso

In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling. Remove from heat and whisk vigorously or use a milk frother until frothy.

Froth the Milk

Stir in 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and sugar to taste into the frothed milk until well combined.

Add Cocoa and Sugar

In a large cup, pour the brewed espresso. Slowly add the frothed milk mixture on top.

Combine Ingredients

Sprinkle cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings on top for garnish.
