Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Tagliatelle
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tagliatelle and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- 2
Sauté the Mushrooms
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Make the Sauce
Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and heavy cream into the skillet with the mushrooms. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 5
Serve
Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and cheese if desired.
