Cook the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Brown the Meat
Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Add oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let it cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
