Method
Bruschetta Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Tomato Mixture
Dice the Roma tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl. Finely chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl. Mince the garlic cloves and mix them in as well.
- 2
Season the Mixture
Drizzle the olive oil over the tomato mixture. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 3
Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice a baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch slices. Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Bruschetta
Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture onto each slice of bread. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
