Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
Brew a cup of strong espresso or coffee and let it cool. Once cooled, mix it with the coffee liqueur and hazelnut coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
- 2
Layer the Ice Cream
In a large serving dish, begin by layering half of the vanilla ice cream, smoothing it into an even layer.
- 3
Soak the Coffee Mixture
Dip ladyfingers (if using) or a layer of cake into the coffee mixture, allowing them to soak for just a couple of seconds to absorb the flavor, then layer them on top of the vanilla ice cream.
- 4
Add Hazelnut Ice Cream
Spread half of the hazelnut salted caramel ice cream over the ladyfinger layer, smoothing it down evenly.
- 5
Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with the remaining ice cream layers, dipping more ladyfingers and layering them atop the hazelnut salted caramel ice cream.
- 6
Finish with Cocoa and Chocolate
Sprinkle cocoa powder and dark chocolate shavings over the top layer to garnish.
Chilling
- 7
Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- 8
Serve
Once set, scoop out portions and enjoy your Tiramisu with a drizzle of extra hazelnut coffee liqueur if desired.
