Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Breakfast Sausage

In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat, breaking it up into small pieces, until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet with the sausage drippings, add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Breakfast Potatoes

While the meats are cooking, boil or steam the breakfast potatoes until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, add the flour to the sausage drippings and whisk over medium heat for about 1 minute. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate non-stick skillet, fry the cage-free eggs to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).

  2. 6

    Toast the Bread

Toast the thick-cut bread slices until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Assemble the Pork Slinger

On each slice of toast, layer the cooked breakfast potatoes, then top with the cooked sausage, crispy bacon, and fried eggs. Generously drizzle the sausage gravy over the top. Serve immediately.
