Main Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- 1
Cut the Pineapple
Start by cutting the top and bottom off the pineapple. Stand the pineapple upright on a cutting board and carefully slice off the outer skin, ensuring to remove all the 'eyes' (brown spots). Cut the pineapple into quarters and remove the tough core from each quarter.
- 2
Slice the Pineapple
Once the core is removed, chop the pineapple flesh into smaller chunks to make it easier for blending.
Juicing
- 3
Blend the Pineapple
In a blender, add the chopped pineapple chunks and 1 cup of water. Blend on high speed until smooth and well combined, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- 4
Strain the Juice
Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the blended pineapple mixture into a large bowl or pitcher to separate the juice from the pulp. Press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
- 5
Sweeten the Juice (optional)
If you prefer a sweeter juice, stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar into the freshly squeezed juice until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Serving
- 6
Serve Chilled
Pour the freshly squeezed pineapple juice into glasses filled with ice cubes. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and freshness.
