Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Melt Cocoa Butter

In a heatproof bowl, add the cocoa butter. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) and allow it to melt completely, stirring occasionally to ensure even melting.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, milk powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

Once the cocoa butter is melted, remove it from heat. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the melted cocoa butter, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

  4. 4

    Add Vanilla

Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

  5. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, mix in the chopped nuts or dried fruit for added texture and flavor.

Setting the Chocolate

  1. 6

    Pour into Molds

Pour the chocolate mixture into silicone molds or a parchment-lined baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  2. 7

    Chill

Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate has fully set.

Serving

  1. 8

    Remove from Molds

Once set, carefully remove the chocolate from the molds. If using a baking dish, cut the chocolate into squares.

  2. 9

    Enjoy

Serve the milk chocolate as a sweet treat or gift it to friends and family.
