1. Melt Cocoa Butter
In a heatproof bowl, add the cocoa butter. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) and allow it to melt completely, stirring occasionally to ensure even melting.
2. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, milk powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
3. Mix Ingredients
Once the cocoa butter is melted, remove it from heat. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the melted cocoa butter, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
4. Add Vanilla
Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
5. Add Optional Ingredients
If desired, mix in the chopped nuts or dried fruit for added texture and flavor.
Setting the Chocolate
6. Pour into Molds
Pour the chocolate mixture into silicone molds or a parchment-lined baking dish, spreading it evenly.
7. Chill
Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate has fully set.
Serving
8. Remove from Molds
Once set, carefully remove the chocolate from the molds. If using a baking dish, cut the chocolate into squares.
