Preparation

  1. 1

    Brew the Coffee

Brew 2 cups of your favorite coffee using your preferred method (drip, French press, etc.) and set aside.

  2. 2

    Melt the Chocolate

In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat the dark chocolate in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stirring until melted and smooth. If using shaved chocolate, it may melt faster.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mug, combine the brewed coffee, tequila, melted dark chocolate, and orange bitters. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Sweeten if Desired

Taste the mixture, and if you prefer your coffee sweeter, add sugar to taste and stir until dissolved.

  5. 5

    Serve

Garnish with a sprinkle of additional shaved dark chocolate on top, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your Mexican coffee!
