Method

Lemon Curd Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Lemon Curd

Zest and juice the lemons. In a medium saucepan, combine lemon juice, zest, and sugar. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then slowly add to the lemon mixture. Stir continuously until thickened. Remove from heat and add butter, stirring until melted. Let cool.

Blueberry Compote Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Blueberry Compote

In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble. Remove from heat and let cool.

Cream Cheese Layer Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Cream Cheese Layer

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and well combined. Set aside.

Streusel Topping Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Streusel Topping

In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Lemon Blueberry Dessert

In a serving dish, layer the lemon curd at the bottom, followed by the cream cheese layer. Spoon the blueberry compote over the cream cheese. Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the compote. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar. Serve chilled.
