Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the granola.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped almonds, pumpkin seeds, coconut flakes, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir well to ensure all dry ingredients are evenly mixed.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly until all the dry ingredients are coated with the wet mixture.

Baking

  1. 5

    Spread on Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the granola mixture evenly on the baking sheet.

  2. 6

    Bake the Granola

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure even browning. The granola should be golden brown when finished.

  3. 7

    Cool and Add Optional Ingredients

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool completely. If desired, mix in dried fruit and/or chocolate chips.

Storage

  1. 8

    Store the Granola

Once cooled, transfer the granola to an airtight container. It can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
