Method
Biscuit Preparation
- 1
Make the Biscuit Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add unsalted butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
- 2
Shape and Bake
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat into a 1-inch thick round. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
Filling Assembly
- 3
Prepare the Filling
While the biscuits are baking, prepare the filling by slicing the ham and cheese. Make sure the house jam is ready to use.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwiches
Once the biscuits are baked, slice them in half. Spread house jam on the bottom half, add slices of ham and Swiss cheese, then place the top half of the biscuit on.
Egg Cooking
- 5
Cook the Eggs
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, crack the local cage-free eggs. Cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, over-easy, etc.).
Breakfast Potatoes Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and dice the potatoes into small cubes. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- 7
Cook the Potatoes
Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the potatoes are golden brown and tender.
