Rinse the Edamame
Place the edamame in a colander and rinse them under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities.

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Cook the Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame to the pot. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until the edamame are tender and bright green.

Drain the Edamame
After cooking, carefully drain the edamame in a colander and let them cool for a minute.

Season the Edamame
Transfer the edamame to a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss well to ensure even seasoning.

Serve
Serve the seasoned edamame warm or at room temperature. Enjoy them by popping the beans out of the pods directly into your mouth.
