Cheese & Charcuterie Board
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick pieces. Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
- 2
Arrange the Cheeses and Meats
On a large serving platter or cheese board, arrange the assorted cheeses and cured meats. Slice the cheeses into wedges or cubes for easy serving.
- 3
Add Condiments
Place small bowls of local honey and fig jam on the board. These can be used as toppings for the cheese or as a dip for the baguette.
- 4
Incorporate Fresh Fruit
Wash and prepare the fresh fruit. Grapes can be left whole, while apples should be sliced. Arrange the fruit artfully around the cheese and meat.
- 5
Add Crackers
Scatter the crackers around the cheese and meats to provide additional textures and flavors.
- 6
Garnish
Finally, add fresh herbs as a garnish on the board for an aromatic touch and visual appeal.
