Method

Brownie Batter Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and set aside.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

Stir in 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and 0.5 cups of brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 0.5 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.

  6. 6

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  7. 7

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  8. 8

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  9. 9

    Cool

Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

Serving Preparation

  1. 10

    Plate the Brownie

Place a square of brownie on a dessert plate.

  2. 11

    Add Ice Cream

Top the brownie with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  3. 12

    Drizzle with Chocolate Syrup

Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup over the ice cream.

  4. 13

    Add Whipped Cream

Top with a dollop of whipped cream.

  5. 14

    Garnish

Sprinkle chocolate shavings over the whipped cream for garnish.
