Sandwich Ingredients

Pickled Vegetables

Marinade for Pork

Method

Pickling the Vegetables

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickling Solution

In a medium bowl, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and water. Stir until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved.

  2. 2

    Pickle the Vegetables

Add the julienned carrot and daikon radish to the pickling solution. Ensure the vegetables are submerged, then cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).

Marinating the Pork

  1. 3

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, fish sauce, black pepper, and brown sugar. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 4

    Marinate the Pork

Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the meat. Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

Grilling the Pork

  1. 5

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.

  2. 6

    Grill the Pork

Remove the pork from the marinade and grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 7

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the French baguette lengthwise, keeping one side attached to create a hinge.

  2. 8

    Spread the Mayonnaise

Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise on the inside of both sides of the baguette.

  3. 9

    Add the Grilled Pork

Slice the grilled pork tenderloin into thin pieces and layer them inside the baguette.

  4. 10

    Add Vegetables and Herbs

Drain the pickled vegetables and layer them over the pork. Add sliced cucumber, sliced jalapeños, and fresh cilantro on top.

  5. 11

    Serve

Close the sandwich and cut it in half. Serve immediately and enjoy your Bridge Bahn Mi!
