In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are some lumps.

Preheat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You may lightly grease it with a small amount of butter if desired.

Cook Pancakes
For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges appear set, about 2-3 minutes.

Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Slice the banana and place on top of the pancakes. Drizzle with maple syrup to taste and serve immediately.
