Method
Preparation
- 1
Wash the Apples
Thoroughly wash the fresh apples under running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
- 2
Core and Slice the Apples
Remove the core from each apple and slice them into quarters. You can leave the skin on for added flavor and nutrients.
- 3
Juicing the Apples
Place the sliced apples into a blender. Add 1 cup of water to help with blending. Blend until smooth.
- 4
Strain the Juice
Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the blended mixture into a large bowl or pitcher to separate the juice from the pulp. Use a spatula or spoon to help extract as much juice as possible.
- 5
Sweeten the Juice
Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the strained apple juice. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Serving
- 6
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the apple juice for at least 30 minutes to chill. Serve in glasses over ice if desired, and enjoy your freshly squeezed apple juice!
