Directions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease and flour four ramekins.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- 5
Add Flour
Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Bake
Distribute the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- 7
Serve
Let the fondants cool for a minute, then carefully invert onto plates. Serve immediately, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
