Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it drain on paper towels, reserving the bacon fat in the skillet.
- 3
Sauté the Brussels Sprouts
In the same skillet with the reserved bacon fat, add the halved Brussels sprouts cut-side down. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until they start to brown and become tender.
- 4
Add Seasonings
Add the chili oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper to the Brussels sprouts. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 5
Combine with Bacon
Crumble the cooked bacon and add it back to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined.
- 6
Serve
Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and top with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
