Carefully shuck the fresh East Coast oysters using an oyster knife. Be cautious not to spill the oyster liquor.

Arrange the shucked oysters on a bed of crushed ice on a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges.

Serve with cocktail sauce and hot sauce on the side for dipping. Sprinkle with sea salt to taste.
