Soda Base

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Sugar Syrup

In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of sugar and 4 cups of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Mix the Flavors

Once the sugar syrup has cooled, divide it into four bowls. Add 1 tsp of each extract (Root Beer, Cream Soda, Black Cherry, Orange) to the respective bowls and mix well.

  3. 3

    Combine and Ferment

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flavored syrups with 2 cups of carbonated water and 1 tsp of yeast. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Bottling

Pour the mixture into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top for carbonation. Seal the bottles and let them sit at room temperature for 24-48 hours to carbonate.

  5. 5

    Refrigerate

After carbonation is achieved, refrigerate the bottles for at least 4 hours before serving.
